6 days and 5 nights of oac is finally over!! yay! Lasted from 3 to 8 march, friday to wednesday. I was in group passion 1.. we rock and so does 3P. hahaha. Actually i think oac quite fun, just that very tiring.

Day 1 [3 March]
It was actually like a half day at the camp cos the first half we were still at school. So on the first day, we did low elements and games. Quite fun.. Our group was combined with C1 (courage 1) if i rmb correctly. Our first meal at camp was dinner. The first taste of the camp food. The rice was i think undercooked. It was hard ok.. There wasn't any gravy or soup what-so-ever. So it was very hard to eat it.. washing up was disgusting. We were actually washing our plates in oily water with detergent! Yuck.. After dinner had astronomy. It was very nice. We were lucky that the sky was clear that night and we could see different constellations like orion, 7 sisiters and sirius. We had a chance to see the craters of the moon through a telescope and saw saturn too.. Some pple suspected that the saturn was a sticker cos it didn't look real. haha.. On the first day, we were late for almost every activity and as a result, some pple coud not shower. I didn't shower lah.. ewww...

Day 2 [4 March]
My class woke up at 5am when flag raising was at 0615. We were told to go back and sleep since it was not time to wake up. After that had breakfast. Then at 0800 went for cruise. Sounds very nice like those big ship those kind but its not. Some pple tot it was really the big ship type. haha. We went to the southern islands. After that we headed back to the camp for lunch. We had an activity called pet rocket after that. It was an act whereby we had to break into grps of 4-5 pple and build a rocket with the materials given. Then using a tablet pc (the only high-tech thing we had), we had to find out the max. amt of water for the rocket to fly the furtherst. My grp (consisting of cheryl, yun min, eileen ,yi shi and me) was the first to complete. Haha. We had 2 tries to launch the rocket. 1st try flew 47m then 2nd try flew 36m. haha. Average 41.5m. Not bad.. Then we had field cooking. It was interesting. But there was a lot of things to cook. Though we were quite clumsy (we spilt a lot of oil), the food was actually nice. haha. Since we had to finish all the food, the excess macaroni soup was drank by everyone in the class. It was known as the 3P dish. lol. After that, it was shower time. Everyone showered. Had knots and lashings at 1900. constructed a shelter. It was fun working together as a grp. Then had the usual night stuff like debrief, wash-up, lights out.

Day 3 [5 March]
We had tower after breakfast and high elements after lunch. Tower consisted of abseiling, rock-wall climbing and zipline (aka. flying fox). i only tried abseiling. so sad.. had not enuf time to try the others. I really wanted to try zipline! nvm.. over already... Abseiling rox! Abseiled from 3 storeys high. It was quite difficult to hold on to the rope with the thick gloves cos i could hardly feel the rope. It was hard to keep my legs to the wall also.. but i managed to go down. Yay! I think everyone managed.. haha. After lunch did high elements. Again, i only did 1 out of 4. Due to time constraint agian and the rain at the end of it. Yes, it rained. I had to balance on 2 ropes with 2 small square planks on them. It was not that easy. i kept holding on to the rope so the belayer kept on slacking it... Super dangerous k.. If i fall they cannot stop in time then the school's responsibility. lalala. At one station (which i didn't do), the person was required to hold on to the dustbin for support to walk to the other end on a thin line. The dustbin was hooked onto the staples for climbing with a carabena, so when the belayer told some pple to unhook the carabena, many pple tot it was the one on the harness. Someone from 1 class actually really unhooked it k.. So scary! After dinner, showered and had reflections. Reflections was very fun as we could slack and its sort of like free time. It was free and easy. The only time we could give our opinions on oac so far. Followed by usual night stuff...

Day4 [6 March]
After breakfast had amazing race. We went to sentosa. Yay! Outnof the campsite again. I think a lot of pple were very happy. Our grp lost a clue card at the end of the race. We thought it might have dropped on the bus. After that was lunch back at the camp. We had expressions. We were given 3 huge pieces of paper and were to write abt the camp, how we feel etc. Since we finished it before time (including presentation), we played a game called fire, earthquake, hunter ( sth like that). After which, we were forced to sleep in the mph where all these were carried out. Sleeping there was so much cooler than the dorms.. My class actually forgot abt kitchen duty until one of the assistant chiefs woke us up. After dinner, had night hike. I dun really rmb where we had it already.. haha. Many pple were scared of the bats that were flying around. Sadly, we could not see any bats eating fruits off a tree. The previous batch that went saw it. We went back to the camp and showered at 2130. After which had debrief and etc...

Day 5 [ 7 March]
Had labrador challenge immediately after breakfast. It was at labrador park. Our group, passion 1 (P1) was the only grp that managed to finish all the stations. Yay! Told u we rock. haha. This challenge was like amazing race. But not finding ans to clues given. More like completing stations. Went back to campsite to have lunch. After that was campfire prep. I think it was quite slack also. My class rehearsed for our item and sang campfire songs. We were also to sleep for 1 hr since there was campfire that night. After shower and dinner, it was campfire!! All the campers were high. When the fire was just lit, it was huge and it swayed all over due to the wind. Slowly, i calmed down. Had our every class' opening cheer. Followed by items and campfire songs. So fun!! Sadly, we were not best class.. It was 3N. After campfire we had debrief , wash up, lights out (as usual).

Day 6 [ 8 March - last day]
At 5+ in the morning had fire drill. Our class din even know where the fire was so we just blindly followed other classes. Our timing was 6 min 50 s. Very slow.. After that we went back to dorms and slept. Woke up too late to wash up before flag raising. So did not wash up at all. Then was breakfast time. After that had big sweep and we were supposed to clear the carpark. (?!) Pick up leaves. haha. So we did not really do anything. Played games instead. Soon, it was time to get our luggages and go on the bus... When we reached cedar, did evaluation in the comp lab Then finally break camp! at ard 1140. 1 hr before time :D

Overall the camp was actually fun. Though the food was not exactly nice and there was not enuf time to bathe. The matresses on the bed were super thin but overall it was ok. Anyway, it's over now. All turned into memories.... :))
